Itineraries

Day 1

Arrival at Tokyo

Welcome to Japan! Upon arrival at Narita or Haneda International Airport, purchase hotel limousine bus ticket and transfer to your hotel. Check-in and free at leisure today. (-/-/-)

Day 2

Tour of Tokyo

Meet your private guide and explore the city of Tokyo today. Visit Asakusa, Imperial Palace and Ginza. If time permits, visit more sites or try tasting Japanese foods and sweets that interest you. (-/-/-)

Day 3

Day trip to Mt. Fuji and Hakone

In the early morning, meet your English speaking driver and start your day trip to Mt. Fuji and Hakone. 2 hours driver takes you to the 5th station of Mt. Fuji. Visit Hakone and enjoy some of its top venues which you prefer. The most popular ones are Hakone Open-Air Museum, Owakudani, Komagatake Ropeway and Lake Ashi Cruise. Later, head back to Tokyo with your driver and end of tour after arriving at hotel. (-/-/-)

Day 4

Half day tour of Kanazawa

Make your own way to Tokyo station and catch Shinkansen to Kanazawa. After meeting your private guide at Kanazawa station and leaving luggage at hotel, visit some of the top sites in Kanazawa; Kenrokuen, Nomura Samurai House, Omicho Market and Higashichaya District. (-/-/-)

Day 5

Tour of Shirakawago and Takayama

Take local bus to Shirakawago (seats reserved in advance) and transfer to the world heritage Shirakawago. Meet guide there and together explore Shirakawago. Later, head to Takayama with your guide by local bus (seats reserved in advance). Visit local sake brewery and Takayama Historic District. Tonight, check-in ryokan and enjoy onsen and Hida beef dinner in ryokan. (-/-/D)

Day 6

Half Day Tour of Kyoto

In the morning, enjoy Japanese style breakfast in ryokan and visit Miyagawa morning market on own and later take trains to Kyoto. Meet your private guide at Kyoto station and take half day private tour of Kyoto. Visit Fushimi Inari Shrine and Kiyomizu Temple. In the evening, enjoy Maiko performance with Kaiseki dinner at Japanese kaiseki restaurant. (B/-/D)

Day 7

Tour of Kyoto

Today explore the major sites in Kyoto with your private guide. Visit Nijo Castle, Golden Temple (Kinkakuji), Arashiyama Bamboo Forest and finally enjoy Japanese tea ceremony in Higashiyama district. Your tour ends here today. Explore the area further or head back to hotel. (-/-/-)

Day 8

Self-guided Tour of Nara

Leave your luggage at hotel reception so it is couriered to your Tokyo hotel when you check in later today. Take train and enjoy self-guided tour of Nara by visiting Todaiji Temple, Kasuga Shrine and feeding wild deers in Nara Park. Later head back to Kyoto by train and hop onto Shinkansen to Tokyo. After arriving, take taxi on own and check-in at hotel. Enjoy the last night in Japan. (-/-/-)

Departure

Take hotel limousine bus to Narita or Haneda Airport. Book the seats on own cost. (-/-/-)
